PAD Diagnostic Testing

Non-Surgical Diagnostic Testing

Our vascular experts at NEEC can perform painless and quick diagnostic tests to determine if you have PAD. These tests include:

Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI)

This is a simple, quick, non-invasive test comparing your leg and arm blood pressures to determine the how well blood is flowing in your limbs.

Pulse Volume Recording (PVR)

An ultrasound machine is used in this non-invasive diagnostic test to measure the volume of arterial blood flow in your extremities and locate the arterial blockages. This test will determine your severity of PAD and effectiveness of previous treatments and interventions.

X-Ray technology is used in this minimally invasive imaging test to visualize arterial abnormalities. A contrast dye is used and images are taken to diagnose the cause of a blockage and/or to plan for treatment.

Are you a Candidate for PAD Diagnostic Testing?

You are a candidate if you are experiencing many of the PAD-related symptoms your doctor suspects you may have PAD, or he/she has already diagnosed you with PAD.
